Terms & Agreements

By indicating your acceptance, you understand, agree, warrant and covenant as follows:

I know that preparing for and running or walking in this event is a potentially hazardous activity. I should not enter and participate unless I am medically able. I further realize additional risks associated with preparing for and participating in this event including, but not limited to, falls, contact with other participants, contact with vehicles on roadways, contact with bystanders viewing the event, the affects of the weather and the condition of all surfaces, all such risks being known and appreciated by me.

I further confirm and acknowledge that I agree to abide by all the current rules and guidelines in affect by the State of Pennsylvania, local Department of Health, and any other governmental body with jurisdiction over the area and/or event. I will not participate if I have been diagnosed with a current covid-19 infection, have a fever or any other covid-19 like conditions, or have been in contact with anyone with covid-19 in the past 5 days. The safety and well being of the entire community is of utmost priority, and this includes all participants, staff and volunteers. I further recognize that Bucks County Department of Health, Cairn University, Virtual Charity Events, and the RUN 12:1 race committee cannot make any claim and does not have any ability to contain or prevent the spread of the covid-19 virus or any other pathogen. Those who have concerns, fears, or at high risk for contracting covid-19 should not run in this event. I further recognize and agree that the covid-19 pandemic is a fluid situation and should guidelines change, it is possible Cairn University, the local Health Department and/or State of Pennsylvania may require the live event be cancelled. Should that occur I know and agree that all registrants for the Highlander Mudder 2022 event will be deferred to the Highlander Mudder 2023 event. Other options may also be offered. I know and accept that NO REFUNDS will be issued.

The Highlander Mudder event directors reserve the right to cancel the event i the event of labor disputes, accidents, acts of war or terrorism, riots, lightening, earthquakes, storms, floods, or any such acts or causes which the directors deem requires cancellation of the event for safety or security reasons. In the event of such cancellation, there will be no refunds.

The Highlander Mudder organizers reserve the right change the date, the distance, or any of the obstacles of the event for any reason. In the event of such changes, there will be no refunds, but your registration will still be valid for the new date.

The Highlander Mudder event directors and course marshals reserve the right to remove participants, spectators, sub-contractors, venue employees, friends, family and anyone else from the Event, without refund, should his/her behavior endanger the safety or negatively affect a race, person, venue or property of any kind.

Knowing these facts I, the undersigned, intending to be legally bound for myself, my heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns, covenant not to sue and hereby waive and release any and all rights and claims or liability for death, personal injury, sickness (including covid-19) or property damage of any kind of nature what so ever that I may now or hereafter have against Cairn University, Virtual Charity Events, RUN 12:1 Running Club, the sponsors, their representatives, successors, or assignees for my preparation, attendance and/or participation in this activity. I certify that I am in physical condition for this event and assume all responsibility for my participation.

I further grant permission for the use of my name and/or picture/video in any newspaper, broadcast or other account of this event without further compensation.

If registering a child under the age of 18 or an incapacitated adult I represent and warrant that I am the parent or legal guardian of that party and have the legal authority to enter into this agreement on their behalf and by proceeding with this event registration, I agree that the terms of this Terms & Agreements shall apply equally to all Registered Parties.
