Run to Support Ukrainian Refugees!

On February 24, Russia attacked Ukraine. As a result, millions of Ukrainians have fled their homes in search of safety, with many more expected to follow.  Our hearts are hurting for the people of Ukraine. So many of us want to help, but we don’t know how.  

One thing we know how to do is run (and walk).  We can race for the people of Ukraine and raise money to help the relief efforts.  We invite you to join our Inspiring Hope for Ukraine 5K. All proceeds will be donated to Christian churches who are on the front lines helping in the Ukraine providing food, water, hygiene kits, and other necessary assistance.

We know that coming together we can help make a difference.

This is a paved, trail race through beautiful Chestnut Branch Park, Mantua, NJ. It is a relatively flat course. There is also a 1-mile fun run/walk and a virtual run. 

All registrants will receive a unique, custom designed "Inspiring Hope for Ukraine" race shirt if registered by Monday, May 2nd. Registrations confirmed after May 2nd will receive shirts on the basis of availability. Participants in the 5K can compete for overall and age group medals. 

Please note: the COVID-19 pandemic is a fluid situation. Should guidelines change, it is possible Mantua Township and/or the State of New Jersey may require the live 5K event be converted to a virtual-only event. Should that occur the Virtual Challenge will still be held and all registrants for the Inspiring Hope for Ukraine 5K will be converted to the Virtual Challenge format. Other options may also be offered. No refunds will be issued.

After May 13th, 12:00pm, on-line and on-site registration increases $5.00 per person.

*NOTE: Shirts are guaranteed for registrations prior to May 2, 2022.
Registrations after May 2nd will receive a shirt on the basis of availability.

Terms & Agreements

By indicating your acceptance, you understand, agree, warrant and covenant as follows:

I know that preparing for and running or walking in this event is a potentially hazardous activity. I should not enter and participate unless I am medically able. I further realize additional risks associated with preparing for and participating in this event including, but not limited to, falls, contact with other participants, contact with vehicles on roadways, contact with bystanders viewing the event, the affects of the weather and the condition of all surfaces, all such risks being known and appreciated by me.

I further confirm and acknowledge to abide by all current rules and guidelines in affect by Mantua Township and the State of New Jersey, and any other governmental body with jurisdiction over the area and/or event. I will not participate if I have been diagnosed with a current covid-19 infection or have a fever or any other covid-19 like conditions. The safety and well being of the entire community is of utmost priority, and this includes all participants, staff and volunteers. I further recognize that Chestnut Branch Park, Mantua Township, Fellowship Bible Church, Virtual Charity Events, RUN 12:1 Running Club, and the Inspiring Hope for Ukraine 5K race committee cannot make any claim and does not have any ability to contain or prevent the spread of the covid-19 virus or any other pathogen. Those who have concerns, fears, or at high risk for contracting covid-19 should not run in this event but rather opt to participate in the Virtual Challenge. I further recognize and agree that the covid-19 pandemic is a fluid situation and should guidelines change, it is possible the Mantua Township and/or State of New Jersey may require the live 5K event be converted to a virtual-only event. Should that occur I know and agree that all registrants for the Inspiring Hope for Ukraine 5K will be converted to the Virtual Challenge format. Other options may also be offered. I know and accept that NO REFUNDS will be issued.

Knowing these facts I, the undersigned, intending to be legally bound for myself, my heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns, covenant not to sue and hereby waive and release any and all rights and claims or liability for death, personal injury, sickness (including covid-19) or property damage of any kind of nature what so ever that I may now or hereafter have against Chestnut Branch Park, Mantua Township, The State of New Jersey, Fellowship Bible Church, RUN 12:1 Running Club, The Inspiring Hope for Ukraine 5K Race committee, Virtual Charity Events, the sponsors, their representatives, successors, or assignees for my preparation, attendance and/or participation in this activity. I certify that I am in physical condition for this event and assume all responsibility for my participation.

I further grant permission for the use of my name and/or picture/video in any newspaper, broadcast or other account of this event without further compensation.

If registering a child under the age of 18 or an incapacitated adult I represent and warrant that I am the parent or legal guardian of that party and have the legal authority to enter into this agreement on their behalf and by proceeding with this event registration, I agree that the terms of this Terms & Agreements shall apply equally to all Registered Parties.
